Welcome to Y Fitness!

Congratulations on taking a step towards increasing your health and well-being. Finding a sustainable physical activity that you enjoy is the recipe for lasting success.

Just as a guide, simply try to do a little more than you are currently doing. For instance; if you are walking for 15 minutes every other day, try adding 5 minutes to each walk. If you are currently using 5 lb. weights, try using 7 lb. weights and so on. Progressive resistance forces the body to respond by getting stronger.

Adding physical activity to your weekly schedule will yield a wealth of long-term benefits such as increased strength and stamina, increased energy, higher metabolism, fat burning and the list goes on.

Take the challenge: Anytime you get ready to do something just ask yourself this question: “will this support my efforts to be healthier?” If at any time you are unsure of what to do, or how to do, YMCA staff are here to assist you.

In Health,
Your Wellness Team
